Dr. Erica Lynn Slater
Dr. Erica Lynn Slater was born in St. Louis, Missouri and was a long time resident of Orlando, Florida. She attended Howard University where she earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy. She was an avid athlete and formed a community youth track team that targeted at risk youth in the Orlando community. She spent her life helping kids aspire for greatness through athletics to build a foundation; following some of these kids from youth to adults. Erica was an active member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority.
In 2013, Erica was impacted by a rare illness that took her life, but she leaves behind a legacy of promise, strength and determination for the kids that she touched along the way.
The ELS Foundation was formed to help students that are preparing for college to have many of the vital tools they need to get started and provide them with the opportunity for excellence; even in her untimely absence.
